Does anyone know how a tv with a scart socket can be used as a monitor.
Viz I need to output to the TV scart socket.
I have a P4 machine on WIN XP PRO and a GeForce FX5200 graphics card fitted in the AGP slot.
The FX5200 has an s-video (tv out) socket. I have connected an s-video lead and an adapter s-video to scart. So the FX5200 is connected to the TV scart ok. I have loaded the Nvidia drivers including the TV capture software.
    ANY IDEAS ?

Well, you'll need to set the television to use the inputs you've connected the computer to. This is usually a secondary video channel, or auxilary device, or similar. The user's guide for the television will say for certain.

Also, you'll need to configure the computer to output on S-Video. The user's manual for the video card will also say for certain, but generally, it is done via the properties of the desktop. To access them, please do the following:

    1. Right-click anywhere on the desktop.
    2. Select 'Properties'
    3. Select the 'Settings' tab
    4. If you see nothing on this screen, press the 'Advanced' button.

Somewhere in this location you will find a means for either configuring up a dual-monitor setup, or a way to switch output to the s-video.

    Good luck!
