How can i download and play old GameBoy games on my computer?

do a search on google for "gameboy emulator"
they are generally freeware, as are the games.

i tried google, and the emulator sites, but every time i download the emulator then the game, they dont wanna work together...

I even download them from the same site, and nothing...

Emulators are a slightly more tricky situation. Emulators themselves are not illegal, as found out in the Sony vs Bleem case. However, the roms themselves generally are, unless a) you own the game in question anyway, or b), the rom has been made public domain. It's a fine line between legal and illegal as well here, so discussing the emulators themselves is fine with me, but discussions about roms will be deleted.

depending on the emulator, you may have to run the program itself in compatability mode (unless it is a windows-specific emulator) i know ages ago when i was fooling around with them i had to play around with all the different modes / resolutions to be successful. apart from that but im outta ideas.
