How can I get rid og Messenger?

Hello,

I have Windows XP SP2. I would like to get rid of Messenger, which loads up every time I boot my computer.

I am not totally, sure but I think it may even do it twice since often I get twice the popup window asking me "something" about messenger. I said "something" because my version of XP is in Korean (I'm in Korea now and couldn't change my XP into English when I upgraded to SP2; it refuses to use a different language than the one of the original XP). I always answer "no". I think that when I asnwered "yes", a long time ago, it just turned it on right away instead of keeping its icon at the bottom of my screen.

How can I get rid of Messenger... permanently?
