How can I make a LAN party for gaming?

Im tryn to figure out how to make a LAN party, any1 know how to?

 

depending how many people you want gaming, all you need is a hub, but preferably a switch or you'll all be sharing the same bandwidth on the hub and that would slow things down. So, for instnance if you want 7 players plus 1 server, you'd need an 8 port switch. 15 players, you could stack two 8 port switches or you can just get a 16 port switch... you get the idea?

Any way, from that point, you have to set up the server and then everyone jacks into the switch and you all party until someone gets really pissed off at losing and ruins the whole thing..
