How can I open a .sig file?

Hi, I am by no means a geek. But I get annoyed very quickly at some of these programs. Now, I don't know about opening them to receive them, but in sending them, if the reciepient does not have Printmaster I just do a cut and paste into a new Microsoft word file and attatch the file. I haven't found a way for this to work in a landscpe format, anyone that can help with that I would appreciate hearing from. It took a lot of cartoon cussing to do it.
