I'm trying to get an old system with DOS and program in low level C to output bits through the parallel port. I'm getting a bit confused and overwhelmed when trying to look up information about parallel ports. I am used to working with the 68HC11, so would this be similar to that or will there be more things I must take care of? Also, Where should I start when attempting this?
