How can I speed up my PC?

Hello,

I currently use windows 98 and I have about 1.5GB of space free on my hard drive and I am trying to find a way to speed up my PC and Internet surfing/downloads. When I open folders or programs on my PC there seems to be quite a delay. Is there a product out there that can help me?

Just to get some ideas about helping that computer to get back to humming, take a look at "Win 95/98 PC Maintenance: A Low-Tech Guide." It sorta walks you through the process of reaming out and refreshing that sluggish Win 98 machine.

Try these 3

and CrapCleaner v1.12.063 http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4191.html

to get rid of the crap that gets stored on your PC after each internet session.
Run all 3, one after the other. All free and do not conflict with each other.

Try a defrag as well, if you have not done 1 recently.

Search the MG front page for free defraggers. I use Nortons speedisk, but this is not free.
