How can I stop random ads from popping up on the internet?

I think I asked this question before and got an answer, but I don't remember what it was and it doesn't show up in searches. I get ads constantly popping up and/or redirecting my computer when I'm on the internet. Pop-ups are blocked already. Spybot S&D doesn't show anything. These ads really slow down my internet. The problem is apparently not malware, as there don't appear to be any infestations when I run the malware removal process. Just constant annoying advertising. Not even for stuff I'm interested in. Help!

You can also see which threads you are "currently subscribed to" by clicking on User CP (up above on the left - near the MajorGeeks.com logo).

Side Note: In order to accomplish the aforementioned tasks you must be "signed in" to the forum.
