How did this happen?

When I press CTL-ALT-Delete to lookat the processes running, the box is different than it was. There is no way of closing it. The top bar is gone. No blue band, no black cross to close it out, no text list of options along the top, and no tabs to change what I am looking at.

Anybody have any ideas what happened, and how I can get the old box back?

Double click inside the border of the box.

But I wasn't going to waste all that stuff I did resizing and everything.
