My original avatar http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v173/star17abby/AS-AV.gif which I made was a memorial of sorts. One white rose for each angel. One granddaughter who passed away on Good Friday (3 days shy of being 3 months old), her twin who passed away the following year on Easter Sunday and my best friends 13 year old daughter who passed away in April the following year.


The one I'm using now I made b/c I was feeling rather emotional. A green eye (Chris and I both have green eyes) with 2 tiny hearts that sparkle to emphasize the hearts as tears and my initials in the lower right corner.

In October I use a Breast Cancer Awareness one due to a long family history of battling this disease.

 

I collect unicorns.

This is the only picture I have gotten small enough to fit on here.

I have an avatar I want to use.. a pic I took of some flowers in my garden, but I can't seem to get it to upload without being super tiny!

 

Avatars that members upload have to meet the size requirement. If you want to email the image to me "abbysue at this domain", I'll see what I can do to get it resized so it still looks good.

 

Cool, thanks! I've tried and tried to resize it, but it just gets smaller. And the flowers are small to begin with so it's hard to see. Thanks, I appreciate it!

Much better. With help from AbbySue (thank you SO much!), I got the avatar I want. I chose it because it's a pic that I took of flowers in my garden and I just thought it was really pretty.

 

Mine is a photo of five wobbles, sitting on a 3 ½ floppy disk….I used the disk to show size……the wobbles are made of clay, some kind of glaze applied (wood fire, low temp raku, and high fire) and fired….wobbles

 

I think the name... well you know.....

 

I originally had the Bugs Bunny one that was here, but I wanted something to call my own. I did a search online and found a moving TARDIS. Since I'm a huge fan of Doctor Who that seemed perfect for me. I had to resize it since it was larger than the requirements, and the rest is history.

 

Im a gnome in world of warcraft, gotten rather obsessed with gnomes

 

Which one am I using today?

I usually go to google images, and then save a photo 96x96 and upload that. Or I right click and save avatars from other boards I have been on. That is where I found officer friendly.

The only one to ask about avatars is Star17

 

Originally I had the dancing lady. It reminded me of the start of the program "Tales of the Unexpected" from the 70's (remember that anyone?) where the lady danced through the flames and I thought that was kinda cool.

Then I had the DUCKS helmet...obvious....footie season.

Now I have this one because I just like its abstractness and colors.

Christmas coming...I think I had Pooh bear last year but he's on my old PC so will have to search for a new one this year. Booted my old PC up last weekend to pull some photos off the HD.....OMG.......it is a very very sick PC

 

It seemed so logical... The Phins parrot for a parrothead...

Well mine is Vivi , from Final fantasy 9. I chose it because 9 is an extremely underated FF , and im a massive fan of the FF series .

Another reason is that they were dolls which were put through a system to be produced into fighters/workers etc. Just seemed like real life , the system in this case being education.

 

Mine is the cover of a Slayer album. A tribute to the best Metal band EVER. Those guys STILL rock! Plus it's a pentagram made out of skeletons. How cool is that?

My hubby and I took a hot air balloon ride and this is a photo our friends took of us going up, up and away.

 

i just like dolfins and GT found this one for me.

 

I home brew beer, and drink beer. So, I thought this was the best pic I could find. My avatar is my secondary fermentor. The beer inside of this fermentor is a Chocolate Hazelnut Porter, about 5 gallons of it. Makes about 2 cases.

I'll stop there, I could go on about the brewing process.

 

I always wondered what that was.

It looks kinda like an oil-bath type filter from a '50s Chevy straight six.

Anyway, that is what it is, beer.

 

Mine - I think you can guess. I have several different versions around, and change them on the odd, rare, occasion. As why I chose the Phantom, that's another, rather long story.
