How Do I Build A Live Usb For Windows 10?

I feel like I'm losing my mind, I don't even know what question to ask for some reason.

I want a bootable recovery drive on a USB so I can copy some files off a computer that I think I'm going to have to wipe. I can't seem to figure out what to google for to answer that need. Everything comes up with Windows To Go, (which in default configuration apparently doesn't have access to internal hardware? And I don't have a copy of Windows 10 Enterprise anyway, right now), or one of the recovery tools.

One of the Linux or BSD based solutions would be fine, as long as it'll let me pull stuff off this computer.

(I had her set up for google drive, but for reasons she was storing incomplete work on her desktop and only moving it to the google drive when she finished it.)

 

See the link in the first post in this thread. Go get the download and burn the iso to a dvd or thumb drive.

You'll have access to all the drives available. Copy any files needed from the c:\ drive to a usb stick or external drive or dvd, what ever you need/ have.
