This is embarrassing, I am trying to change a Samsung .Sdoc file to a .mp3 extension. Here is a sample attached w/ my voice...

Been working on this all day.

    So...

How do I change the .ext to .mp3?
I have probably forgotten, my Swiss cheese brain does that frequently.

Oh, the extension change didn't work.

OK, After googling it I now show and am able to change the file extension. Old windows (as in Win 98) this was the default, I didn't even notice when M$ OSes stopped doing this.

Please note: changing the extension of a file doesn't change its internal format. You can call it an MP3, but it's still an SDOC inside.

.sdoc doesn't have anything to do with Samsung, as far as I can tell from searching. It is a MS Sealed Word document. https://www.file-extensions.org/sdoc-file-extension
See this in the right pane of the above link
