    I use perl, and want to edit my default path information on CMD.exe under WinXP so that I can simply run my perl programs from ANYWHERE on the drive without having to first state the path to the perl subdirectory every single time I open a command prompt window. How can I do this? Will I find it in the System Registry, or what?

    At present, it has the default:
    PATH=C:\WINDOWS\system32;C:\WINDOWS;C:\WINDOWS\system32\WBEM

    I just want it to also have:
    PATH=C:\WINDOWS\system32;C:\WINDOWS;C:\WINDOWS\system32\WBEM;C:\Perl

    Help!

    You can adjust any of the Environment variables by right clicking my computer, going to properties then the advanced tab and then pick the environment variables button at the bottom of that tab.

    Simply edit the PATH variable that is under system variables.

    You can also edit it directly from the command line by using the set command, of course then it would only stay changed for as long as the command line remains opened.
