Hi all, what ways are there to connect an old analogue video camera to a PC to allow capture of video and then transfer on to VCD for playback on a DVD player, also will Pinnacle studio 8 help with this, I also want to connect my video up to the PC to do the same thing, mainly transfer all of my kids old school stuff from video tape to VCD, are there any pitfalls and if possible could you keep it simple, thanks.

Hi, is there anyway I can connect the camera or video to my computer with leads without having to buy anymore software and just use my Pinnacle studio 8 for editing, or are you saying I need other types of hardware to connect and that video dazzle has all of this plus the software, anyway thankyou.

You will need a video capture device. Dazzle is the most recommended, but there are many others. If this will be a one-time thing, you could take them to a photo store. Most of them will put tapes onto VCDs and DVDs cheaply, if you won't be doing this enough to justify the expense of buying one.
