i am trying to set a wireless adsl router to PC.

Where did the DSL line connect originally?

My provider gave me a DSL router - so the phoneline ran into that and the ethernet cable from that went to my wireless router.

i am not sure of your location but here when you buy a router it comes with an installation pack.

normally you should have a splitter that will allow you to make two connections to your telephone land line (if this is your ADSL connect)

then there is a cable with different ends this is the ethernet cable one end goes into the splitter the other goes into your router and then depending on the PC and router there will be a means of communication between the two mine is with a DONGLE that is a small radio reciever that allows my PC to talk to my ROUTER hope this helps and good luck
