Usually your router would be on all the time.
Are you asking how to enable your pc to go to standby or sleep mode/Hibernation?

I have DI-604 router, they come with user manual/setup cd has user manual on it, also avaible at D-Link web site.
I dont remember any such setting for the router, mine's been on 24/7 for about 2 years.

At any rate, for the server to receive info from your player, it requires uploads...cutting that off shuts you down.

The router doesn't support a standby mode, by the way.

The DI-604 does not have that function. Heck I don't think any router/switch/hub does, it would lose it's function and render useless.
