How do i do this?

Im trying to clean everything out of my computer but i don't want to you know like do a complete factory settings restore type deal but so far i have been cleaning out all the unneeded files that i have but something bothers me....you know the address bar at the top of Iexplorer is there anyway to get everything off of there and make it to where it doesn't save any web pages or anything like that.......or any better ways to clean out your computer that you guys might know?

For your first question, go to Tools -> Internet Options -> General tab -> History -> Clear History. While you're there, you can also delete temporary internet files and cookies.

 

Sorry, TheDoug, but I have to agree with Matt here. CCleaner will not only clean out the files you covered, but other temporary file caches. It cleans IE's cache, it cleans firefox's cache. It cleans MANY other application's caches. And its fast. It also includes a startup manager and a registry cleaner, giving it added value. And the price (free) is right.

 

Good call Matt, but make sure unless you want the yahoo tool bar installed to get the slim version. Also make sure "Hotfix uninstallers" is NOT checked as it is know to cause some problems. Otherwise I use it all the time and feel it is one of the best software packages I have!
