How do I fix this?

A couple months ago I copied one hard drive to another using some shareware I found on the internet. I cant remember what the name of it is since its on my other comp at home. But, it said I could use it for one month then I would have to purchase it or it would render my hdd useless. Well time has passed and sure enough my hdd is telling me that my hdd is operating above normal circumstances, through the SMART device in the hdd. Is there anything I can do short of formatting the entire drive?

 

that is no decent shareware!! simply by not paying its creators gives them no right to ruin your data! get a real backup program, and back everything up on cd or somthing, and, well, i guess, reformat...

did you get it from here? i hope not...

 

sorry for double posting, but you could also get a disk repair utility. SMART does get a bit irritated if you in the middle of formatting a hard drive at a point where youve done a low level format, which i can only assume is because the mbr isnt valid. i think you can get programs to repair it..... but cant be sure.....
