how do i force a program to be deleted

    im trying to delete a program that has hijacked my browser (common name) i have deleted it from add/remove programs but it is still on my pc.
    i have found the folder it is hiding in but when i try to delete the folder xp says unable to delete program is in use.

    have you tryed deleting it in safemode?

    thanks for that mate but..... ive juet found out that it is a toolbar hijacker called common name..

    any words of wisdom????

    yes b4 u ask done the spy sweeper / spybot etc.. in safe mode as well

    I would suggest going over to the spyware forum and get chaslang or bjgarrick to take a look.
