How do I get rid of "830 documents pending" on my Brother printer?

This printer is very new for me. I don't know how on earth it got the idea I had 830 documents I wanted to print. How do I get rid of them in one fell swoop?

I *believe* stopping the printer spooler service from services.msc will clear the queue. Its been a while since I've worked on a Windows machine myself.

Try it though and let me know.

Edit, nope. There is a second step.

C:\WINDOWS\System32\spool\PRINTERS

Go here and delete the contents, then restart the spooler service.

 

That folder PRINTERS has 853 items, all with the suffixes SPL or SHD. I suppose I just click delete on the right-clock menu for PRINTERS?

 

Delete contents, not the folder itself.

 

I was hoping to find a way to save the time involved in deleting 853 files one by one.

 

Delete everything inside the PRINTERS folder.

Ctrl-A to select them, then delete.
