how do i get to the registry

i forgot what you type in the run box to get to the registryhttp://forums.majorgeeks.com/images/smilies/redface.gif can someone tell me quick

oh yea i just installed xp and it well it installed right over 98se and its causing problems should i just format and do a fresh install of xp? how would i do that its xp home with sp1 will i need any start up disk or do i just restart into dos mode format and install xp?

 

Click Start > Run > Type in regedit

Your first mistake was upgrading, its always best to do a clean install. To do a clean install just boot from the XP cd-rom and setup will allow you to format the partition.
