how do i install my operating system?

how would you go about installing an OEM version of Windows Vista Home Prem 64-bit DSP OEM DVD? In the comments on TD some guy had alot of errors and said "you can not install this software with out a OEM preinstall kit ( POK ) from Microsog to see if I can get the kit untill then I have software that I can not use" is ft, Note this is a System Builder Pack only I am lookinthis true or will this install like any other OP.

and an off topic question: how long would you expect a brand new computer to last (with good cooling and kept clean both with dust and programs)?

For the record though,
A "OEM" system builders disk will install on almost any unit .

A brand name manufacturers [Vista] OEM disk will usually only work on the unit it actually goes to.
