How do I know if my USB 2.0 is actually running at 2.0 speeds?

    btw, here is a section from an everest report about my USB ports

    Heh, file transfer will only move as fast as the slowest link. Are you certain that both the cable and the MP3 player are USB2 as well?

    check in the BIOS when u boot, it should give you USB options and stats

    It depends on the size of the files, what compression etc is used, and if anything else is sharing the bandwith.

    To check if your PC has USB 2.0, check Device Manager.

    Under Universal Serial Bus Controllers, it should say "Enhanced" or "Hi Speed". (your Everest report says Enhanced)

    Also, estimated time is just that, an estimate. Try timing it and seeing how long it actually takes.
