How do I open emails with .php at the end?

Hello,
First of all, I grabbed both buttons and I will alternate them on my Facebook page.
My problem is that I have a friend that sends me emails that originate out of this country and I can not open them. They are usually jokes so I don't want to post a link here not knowing what it is but it ends in .php.
It was sent to him and obviously he can open it and the other people he sent it to must be able to open it too.
I even went to IE8 and typed in the url and it suggested that I drop off the last 2 letters before .php which were to. and it took me to a page where a login was necessary.
There are 3 of these and I'd love to see them!
Any idea on what I can do to open them?

Well, I found my own answer! If IE8 is already open, the emails open without a problem. What I need to ask him is why 4 different email addresses for the same place; a regular business.
