    Hello, folks.

I don't post very often as I try hard to resolve my own technical issues. This one has me beaten.

About 12 years ago, I used a digital voice recorder from a company that has closed. The audio files played through the recorder, which has since died.

I have downloaded the files and all are .dvs, except one, which is .dvh. I have searched the web on and off for a few months, now and have been unable to find any software that will play them.

I have tried WMP, VLC, dziobas, QuickTime, etc. I have tried to upload the files to Audacity and also Sony Vegas Movie Maker; neither recognises the file extension.

I am hoping that someone here will know of something that will play these files. Thank you.

Thanks! I downloaded it and it will not play the .dvs files. It either cannot open them or does not recognise them, varying with each file.

If the files aren't personal, zip one of them and attach it to your next post.
I'll see what I can do.

BTW What is the make and model of the recorder?

    This might work
    http://www.pcpitstop.com/pcpitstop_new/libraries/fileextension/detail.asp?ext=dvh.html

    More info: http://www.pcpitstop.com/pcpitstop_...n/application.asp?appname=dyneplayer.exe.html
and both dvh and dvs appear.

I'm now trying to find dyneplayer exe.
This might be your recorder https://fccid.io/N5ZDN464

    More info here: https://extension.nirsoft.net/dvs
I looked for wavepad which is marked as medium probability of opening the dvs file
    and ended up here https://www.nch.com.au/wavepad/download-now.html
Note: at the bottom of the right column is a hot link for a free version for home uses.

Eldon: Thank you very much for your kind and generous offer. I much regret that I cannot share these files. The recorder is long-gone but I do recall that it was from Dyne Telecom.
plodr: Thank you for your most-appreciated time. I will try this software.
