how do I reduce the size of my xmas pps to my friends

    I send an annual xmas card in a .pps slideshow format to my friends and family. To make it look nice I add some pictures and use the provided autoformat backgrounds. My problem is that the size of the file I have this year is 11.5 mb. Its a lot of data for some of my recipients to download. Can you suggest some way to send the file while reducing the file size? thanks for looking.

    Hi

    Can minimise a ppt with images in with Powerpoint itself, which does reduce the size alot, to achieve this, open/create your slideshow, then goto Save/Save As, then click at the Tools button, its in different places in various Office versions and choose Email for compression, like my sample below

    Do use a backup file of your original PPT to test size of compression vs quality
