How do I reformat a computer?

There is too much crap on my computer, ie, Ihave the about home page. I thought I fixed that by means of the aboutbbuster to no avail. Maybe I'm not doing it right. But I have Spybot, Norton, CCleaner,m ADSubtract, Spywareblaster, CWShredder, and SpySubtract to name a few. I am not sure I can ever get rid of the "About" homepage. What would you do if you were me?

So what your saying is that you just wanna clean up your computer and start all over again by reformation your computer correct..??

 

Maybe, is it worth it? Is it possible or reasonable? Am I jsut setting myself up for more problems in a month? Also, I have Windows 2000and I am not sure if I have that CD as well as some other programs that the guy helped me out with. I am looking at some stff right now and may just want to fix it iff possible. I could dig myself deeper here.

Yeah I would do what Pyrate says first before reformating...I wouldn't recomend formating unless your tired of dealing with it and your ready to move on...but before you format try to get all your personal informations or applications that you might need from your computer....
