I have a dual-boot configuration. How can I remove Windows 2000 from my system while keeping Windows XP?

I don't want to wipe all my info.

if you setup at 2 HDD for each verry simple but in one HDD .............
if you understand OS and softs you will do it easier by back up data then setup WinXp again......if not.....
Woo, run Win2000 remove all softs, write down the name of these softs being removed, I will explain why you must writte down later(1). Boot winXp or dos, Dos is better Del directory Winnt (Win2000) try winXp first because it Do faster than Dos. then run WinXP DEL some directory that you have wrote down, (1)bacause some softsware could not move their directory after removed. Boot at dos mode edit file Boot.ini DEL words that you will see at the first boot make you choose boot WinXp or Win2000.
it is my opion, I think someelse will show you other ways.

Remove the Windows 2000 entry from the Boot.ini. If WIN2000 is on a seperate HDD, then delete everthing on the drive from WIN XP. If it is on a seperate partion on the same HDD as WIN XP, then delete the WIN 2000 partion from the XP recovery console using the DISKPART command, then you can resize your WIN XP partition.

As always backup any crtical data before making changes of this type.
