...change the user's name on a computer? I recently became the owner of a computer that had belonged to a dear friend that passed away. I am bothered by seeing her name periodically and want to change it to mine. I seemed to have changed the owner and business name but not the user name. Any suggestions or resolution would be greatly appreciated. Thank you............

I'm assuming this is windows xp?

Click start > Control Panel > User Accounts > Click the user name > Change my name.
