You will have to be more specific, the easiest way is to hook it up to a pc,or you can use a psu tester,or check them manually with a testmeter. :D

Do you mean you want to know how much power your psu has?If so read the side of the psu or post a pic and I'll tell you what they mean. ;)

Power supply unit, its the box at the back of your computer at the top with wires that lead to the rest of your computer, there should be some writing on the side that tells you the specs of it.

May I ask why you want to know is there a new peice of hardware you want to buy and arnt sure if your comp is up to it?

Sometimes it's not the wattage, but the make of a PSU that determines it can jump hardware hurdles. If your PSU came with your Case, for instance, you mught a have a problemn anyway. Generic PSU's are known to be poor quality, and even if they are 500-Watts (which is what mine is) they might blow a fuse because they are poorly made.

BTW: You only need to worry about the power supply when you are using it to power something directly. If your new video card doesn't have any extra Molex connectors (the 4-pin that you can also find on your Hard drives and CD drives) then you're really not adding much stress to your PSU. Ditto for the RAM. Unless you've got active coolingon your RAM (as in, you bought a lil kit that has a tiny fan for your RAM) you're not adding anything to the PSU load.

Eox you have to be more specific,or we will just waste alot of time with useless posts m8,read this

    http://forums.majorgeeks.com/announcement.php?f=22

post your specs in as much detail as possible, for even more info download sandra from the download section and post the system summary as an attachment so we can read it,or everest also available in the download section will do the same job.also post the name of the vid card you want and we will see if your system can take it and if it will be worth buying.

As a general rule its best to buy the exact same memory as what you have in for the best compatibility.

Dont worry if theres something you dont understand no matter how stupid it seems, hell I dont understand half the things some of these guys talk about.

To check your power supply specs you will have to remove the side of your case and read whats written on the side of it,its the box located at the top/rear of the case,or if its dell, gateway could be located at the bottom.

    :)
