How do you make a bootable 98 CD

OK...I finally made my WinXP CD bootable without using a floppy disk. Now I wanna make my win98 CD bootable. I was wondering if any of you guys knew how to do that. For you see my floppy drive doesn't work good and I am thinking of getting rid of it. But then if I install 98 on any of my machines without using the floppy drive then that would be great.

Well I have Roxio...I try to burn a bootable cd with it like 3 times using different configurations but the CD's simply didn't work....

 

I'll have to look it up, but i belieive with nero theres a way to add a special file to a cd to make it bootable. Used to have that file, lost it a couple formats ago.

Thats a cd you can boot from, then install windows from. you boot from that CD, then change to your Windows 98 cd.
I don't know your experience level, if you need more detailed instructions feel free to post and ask.

 

I have made a bootable Win98 CD by using a standard Win98 floppy bootdisk (Can be downloaded varios places) as bootimage for the CD-ROM burnning proces. Leaving lots of room for the Win98 install files on another session.

When booting from the created CD, then it will act like it is booting from the A-Drive. But the Win98 Bootdisk will load the CD-ROM drivers, allowing one to access the other sessions on the created CD. Then it is just a matter of changing to the drive-letter of the CD-ROM drive and then start the install.

 

I'ts getting complicated....If you guys could give me step by step instructions I can get it...I am not one of those stupid girls that would be like OMG I don't know what to do....I got my winXP to be bootable but now I am trying it to do it on my 98 disk as well as my WinME disk..i just need a link or instructions that is all..I hope one of you could help.....

I tried just as listed but I get a boot error talking about kinda boot from a:/ drive...I though it was going to be easier then when I made my winXP CD bootable...
