How Do You Remove Bookmark URL's From Showing In MOzilla Firefox's v3 Address Bar?

Since I started using the new Firefox v3 I have noticed that my bookmarks show up unrequested in the url address bar of the browser. How do I stop this?

I would prefer that someone give me an official method of removing or disabling Firefox from doing this. I don't want to dicept the browser and do registry or false this or that. I'd like an official method.

    Thanks

Here's another thread similar to the one posted above but may have some other options you might want to consider.

Customising the Firefox 3 Location Bar

You're certainly welcome. I do like to link to Mozillazine. The folks there, including myself, are the ones that run, test and report bugs during development. The site is first rate IMHO.

I agree! :) Bozz, if you're associated with helping Mozillazine be so extensive and accurate you can be very proud.

Thanks sach2. I've been there for more than five years now. I am certainly proud to be at least a small part of help and support.

Yeah Mark...I have to agree that their 'new support site' is certainly lacking to say the least. I personally don't care for it and will stay with the tried and true support at Mozillazine. You can only get the best support where the best supporters hang out.

I agree, again, the new support doesn't work like Mozillazine. I thought, "What happened to clear, concise answers? Then I realized that the "old" forum was still available. Techie enough to give step by step instructions but thoughtful enough to listen to questions.:highfive ----I'm going to get over there to figure out how the new bookmark system works; so I have the option of saving my new bookmarks directly into one of my old bookmark folders, one day soon.

If either of you guys have any pull, suggest that FF get rid of the need for the Continue button after letting AddOns update. It is just annoying. I've already accepted updates so FF should just install them and restart.

Thanks for working on such a great site!

    Hi!

This may or may not be similar to what you're experiencing, (my apologies, I haven't read all the replies in this thread) but here's a thread I posted a while back, maybe this will be of some help?
