how do you show the frames per second?

how do you show the frames per second on your Pc during a game?

 

have you noticed every thread you spawn you leave out the necessary info? like your sys specs, your vid card, game your talking about, etc...http://forums.majorgeeks.com/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif

the games that I want to see the FPS are morrowind, far cry, painkiller, and the sims deluxe edition.
system specs:
lanparty UT nf3 250 GB mobo
AMD athalon 3000+ processor
XFX 6600 GT 128 MB video card
1 GB kingston value ramm
36 GB hard drive 10000 RPM
thermaltake 480 watt silent pure power

 

i guess he did put it in his sig, cuz it shows it throughout the post...but yea.....the only way ive ever seen how many fps my video card can handle, is by getting 3dmark05.
