How Does Everyone Deal With Folder Views Resetting?

For as long as I can remember, Windows has been resetting my folder views. I go through and meticulously set each section to display as I like, and after a while (almost without fail), they are rest to something else over time. And I know it's nothing I'm doing.

From my research, it seems to be an ongoing problem that Microsoft has never really address or fixed, and no root cause has ever been found from my understanding (I also checked this article on MajorGeeks, which seems to confirm).

How do you deal with this, and what is the best fix you've come up with that either locks them in or at least reduces this hassle down to a minimum? I'm on Windows 10

 

yup, i hear you about this. my work around : when i am on a windows computer, i much prefer third party, two pane, file managers, like altap salamander, multi commander, free commander, total commander, and the likes. you get consistent views, one can drill into various compressed files easily, and they usually offer more options for working with files than windows explorer. for me, it's just seems easier and less hassle. otherwise, no brilliant ideas, good luck with it.
