My network has been operating in an eradic manner and I want to remove it from all associated computers and reinstall on all computers. I'm replacing a win 98 with an xt pro. I also have an XT pro main computer and a notebook with XT pro. Any and all help appreciated.

Sorry, all references to XT should be XP. Additional information: Present router is an SMC 7004VWBR Barricade. An Orinoco USB client gold was used for the win 98 system and will be used on the new XP Pro. The Notebook has a built in Broadcom 54g Maximum performance 802.11g

    Can anyone help?
    TIA, Lee

Uninstall the Network Card (NIC) Entry in the System Properties.

Switch off the computer and take out the NIC (or disable in the BIOS if it is Onboard).

Boot the computer one time with No NIC.

Switch ff insert or enable the NIC and boot again.
