How Is Safety Of Downloads On Majorgeeks Ensured?

I am just asking, since there are more and more incidents of mal-ware poisoned software available on sites
like Google Play, & similar sites from Microsoft, Apple, etc.

If billion dollar software corporations are neither willing or able to keep their download sites clean, by carefully TESTING any and all software BEFORE it gets the green light to to be offered on their sites, then how does a small site like Majorgeeks have any chance to detect and destroy malware on the Majorgeeks site?

Don't get me wrong - since Majorgeeks is a site that provides free and very low-coast software, one cannot even
expect that everything is 100% safe. But still, does anyone working & volunteering with Majorgeeks have an answer to the question in the Title above?

If a "company" updates and manages to slip in some unwanted files, report it to Jim or Tim.
Obviously they can't test all software daily after it is available for download so they depend on people here to alert them if something has changed.

 

In the meantime, when in doubt... you can also have VirusTotal do a scan on either the website in question or the installation file you've just downloaded (but haven't yet run).
