how is this possible

well i didn't listen to any reason and i bought a radeon x1300 and f.e.a.r.
these are my specs now.

intel celeron 2.3ghz processor
dvd/rw drive
512 ram
radeon x1300 256pci
and whatever else

well everyone has been bragging on about f.e.a.r. and all that and when i was trying to figure out what to do i just decided to buy it, and mind you this is apparently the game to get if you got a pc, well i installed everything and f.e.a.r. runs perfectly. seriously i think on the settings the system settings are on medium and the graphics are on high w/ some other settings. the only time the game lags a little bit is when you get the checkpoint saves and when you first kinda start a lvl, but its not like bad its just a little slower, but after that everything is smooth, and the graphics are amazing. XD i love the game and it kicks. so how come w/ all the people i talked to they said i couldn't run the game? and if i did it would suck? anyway all i know is that i can see everything in the game and its beautiful....and scary.....


p.s. is heros V any good?

You must be speaking of Single Player. Ive known ppl to run Multi player on med/low with 512mb of ram but its rough.But with some of the newer maps ( maps after the old patch 1.7) its nearly impossible. The maps are decently sized and hold up to 16 players. Ive heard alot of complaints from ppl claiming they have horrible lagg when theyre running 512 RAm. But if it works for you "Salut" !

But to be honest, if you decide to start playing multiplayer, turn all of your settings on low except AA, put that as high as itll go (x16). FEAR has crazy shadows and that doesnt help out when youve got a 16 man server going and you cant see. : )

Im a FEAR freak too, Foulic, did you know theres a free download for multiplayer FEAR? Well noone told me about it till a couple weeks ago...Finally found out about the expansion too.
FEAR even set to minimum or medium has sweet graphics. What a sweet game!
And yes it is scary...creepy...
Oh I almost forgot about the bonus on the DVD its great!! I howled

hey man if it works for you thats great. just as long as the game runs smothly and you can tolerate the graphics theres no need to upgrade
