    Hi.
Is there a way to find out when I received my IP address or how long I've had my current Dynamic IP Address? I presume that most Dynamic IP addresses last for 24 hours?
    Thank you.

Yes, you can find out the lease time of your IP Address.

Cable Internet & Router: Check under Status on the Router
Cable Internet & PC: Check Network Card Status
    DSL: Check Modem
    DSL Wirless: Check Modem
    DSL & Router: Check Router

Let me know what your setup is and I can attempt to give you further instructions. Also, let me know what brands you have the model numbers.

Hi Squeaner. Thank you for your help in this thread and another recent thread I made. I have a Thomson TG585 v7 Router. I connect to it via wireless from my PC. Would this page [picture attached] be what I need?

Just so we are on the same page, you are wanting the IP Address your ISP Provider is giving to you and wanting to know exactly how long you have that IP Address for.

If this is the case you should be able to find it under the "View Status" for either the DSL or Internet. You will find info about a DHCP Lease.

I couldn't find any good documentation telling me where to look specifically, it only gave me details about everything else.

    Hope this helps...

IP lease time is one thing, knowing how long you've had your IP address is another... And the "Uptime" of your screen shot may be something completely different. You can have your IP address longer than the actual lease time, if your IP is renewed at the end of the lease. The IP lease time is configured by your DHCP server's system administrator. On a Windows computer, you can check your lease time by issuing the command "IPCONFIG /ALL" from the command line and looking for "Lease Expires". As Squeaner mentioned: For the IP address assigned to your router by the ISP, you would need to consult the manual to your router in order to determine where this information is accessed through the router's interface.
