Just wondering how much disk space should I use for System Restore? with:

Dell 8100 (an oldie buy I still like it)
    Pentium 4 1400MHz
    256 Ram
75GB hard drive (I am currently using 6.25GB)
    Windows ME
    Explorer 6.028

And in general what gets saved in System Restore, the registry? browser settings? other stuff? And where is it saved to? Is it in Windows folder System or System32 or to the hidden folder in Windows called SYSBCKUP or some other place?

    Thanks

It's saved in System Volume Information.

The Registry is backed up along with personal settings.

As for how much space? It's up to you. With 75G Windows will use 12%
or 7.5G which is alot of space.

Set it to about 2 or 3 % which will save about 20 restore points.

It's a personal thing. The debates are endless. :)
