My daughter is getting a new comp (Dell or HP) w/DVD burner (among other things) How much ram and what size Hd Dr would you suggest? Especially on the Hd Dr. I can always add ram. She will be surfing the web. and using it for her small business and burning movies. Thanks

Well For the ram when she get the system the minium ram I would get is 512 mb, then you could later add more. For the hard drive that is hard to say because some of the dell models only have room for one hard drive, if you get a Dell make sure their is more room to add another hard drive later or get the biggest hard drive you can. Same advice for the Hp if it has room for another hard drive you can always get a 200 gb or more for cheap at Bestbuy, Circut City after rebates.

Thanks much. Kinda what I was figuring. BTW I have 3 Dell's and all have room and connections for additional hd dr. But wanted her to get what she needed in just one drive.

Well at least 100gb I'd say. And Dell are known for being cheap by getting rid of expansion slots and not allowing you to upgrade on your own.
