How much is my PC really worth?

    So over the past couple of years I've upgraded my computer significantly, and while some of the parts are older than others, it still performs very well. Thing is, I want to sell it, however, I don't know what it's worth. I know how much I could buy the individual parts for retail, but since it's custom, I don't know the true value of the PC Below is my setup and what I could find the same parts for retail (online).

    The PC's HD's will be wiped and it will not come with an OS.

    * Intel Core 2 Duo 6600 @2.40GHz = $298.95
    * ASUS P5W DH DELUXE Motherboard with Wi-Fi built in (external magnetic antenna). = $239.57
    * Iomega Exteral 1TB and WD Elements 500GB External hard drives = retails for $85 and $60, respectively.
    * One 160gb Internal WD1600AB @ 5400RPM and one internal WD740GD 74GB Velocirapotor at 10,000RPM = retail for $60 and $95, respectively.
    * Two Acer H213H 21.5" 1080p Monitors with HDMI output = retails for 2x$159.99 = $319.98
    * Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Surround 5.1 USB Sound Card = $59.99
    * Nvidia GeForce GTS 250 1GB - $159.99
    * Philips Bluray Drive - $55
    * Microsoft LifeCam VX-5000 Webcam - $22
    * Thermaltake SopranoRS Case - $69.99
    * Microsoft Laser Mouse 6000 - $33
    * Microsoft Wireless Keyboard 3000 - $30
    * Corsair XMS2-6400 2x1GB = $67
    * Kingston Memory 1x2GB = $75
    * ThermalTake Toughpower 750W PSU = $129.99
    * Altec Lansing Expressionist BASS Speakers = $55

    That comes to $1,915 retail, obviously I couldn't get anywhere near that for it since all parts are used and older. But I'm interesting in hearing realistic prices. What would you pay for it? What do you see as a realistic price?

    Thank you for the advice!

    the E6600 isn't 300 it's around 125ish

    I would pay around 500-600 ish just for the tower

    I agree . . . I'd shell out around $700.00 or so. Maybe a bit more if some of the components still had individual warranties.

    Pretty decent set up if all one needs is an operating system. It would be better if it had one . . . that's an added expense for a used system, plus should someone local want to look it over they can't actually "see" it run. Lack of an OS might be a deal-breaker.

    I would say $500 I'm afraid. All of it is old "form factor" (e.g. DDR2, LGA775, etc), 3-5 years old with the only upgrade potential being the video card.

    Frankly, walk out of a shop with the latest parts and lose 50%. I depreciate my builds at 50% a year legally.

    I would pay £600, so around $650.

    As BoldEagle said, it is all in the old FF so you are kind of limiting yourself.
