Hello. I am trying to use an old computer (486) with DOS operating system to controll a machine. I already have made hardware controller through parallel port, and appropriate software (quickbasic). But i have on "little" problem: When computer starts, he tries to initialise printer, sending some information on to LPT1. In that case, machine starts some operations, before my software takes control on machine. Can I skip this initialisation?. With other words, how can I achieve not to send informations on LPT1 until software takes control?
