I just bought laptop with windows 8. I've been backing using acronis 9 home to backup all of our other computers. This HP laptop gave no option to use disks to have save operating system. When I tried using acronis it said it could not be used because of "Windows Dynamic Disks EZ- Drives Etc" Any other way to save the operating system?
    Thanks

After doing more research your right acronis 9 is not compatible. It did work for windows 7 for me on my other machine. I'll do as you suggested. Thanks Again

I think you'll be quite pleased with Macrium. The program also allows you to make DVD backups(if you have a DVD burner) as well as using external HD's as target drives.

Kudos for having the foresight to set up a system backup.

At my shop, I have already run into several Win 8 systems that were corrupted by malware to the point that the "Remove everything and reinstall Windows" option did not work (not to mention what would happen if/when your HDD crashes).

Be sure to also setup a data backup program that will make it easy to view and recover individual files if something happens.
