   Which version of Windows are you using?
   In Windows 8/8.1 you can easily backup your photos without iTunes or third-party software.

   You should have an iCloud account as part of your iPhone. All you have to do is download iCloud onto your PC and you should be able to sync them that way:

   Also you can as mentioned use iCloud and you can also use the Windows variant in OneDrive to do the same and its really compliant with Windows 7 and above
   
   I use this with apple devices over iCloud (I have an iCloud account)
