How To Bypass A Log-in Password

    So I have this old laptop that I've forgotten the password for. It's using Windows Vista. Any way to get around the password other than reinstalling Vista or upgrading to a new OS?

    If it is a password to log into Windows, then a reinstall. Are you sure that the old hardware will support Windows 10? If not, then linux.
    If, however it is a BIOS password, there is no way around. You used to be able to remove the battery in a laptop but the manufacturers closed that so removing the battery will not remove a BIOS password.

    I bought a corporate licence for Active Password Changer and it works a treat :)
    I personally know it works on Win 10 Pro 64 bit, Win 7 Pro 64 and 32 bit, Vista 32 bit and Win XP and I keep it in my computer tool case on a bootable USB stick and also another copy on a bootable CD rom.
