few weeks ago my IT dptmnt - stupid I was as they accomplished nothing - "worked" on my office PC.
Guy worked on it over weekend, so when I cam back, there was 2 log ins - one for my office PC and one for "IT".
Who gives, PC worked OK, until yesterday. I bought new keyboard, Logitech, downloaded supporting s/w - just to find that I can not do squat with it, as W7 requests IT Admin password.
No big deal - except that IT does not respond to emails for 2nd day in a row.
Can't restore PC to earlier date also, same issue.
Keyboard works, but most extra features don't, as say CAPS ON shows on the screen (there is no lights on KB) and it does not, because LT s/w is not installed. The reason I bought this one is I have one at home and know it real well, so I know what it's supposed to do..
Any ideas on how to kill that IT p/w situation?

Talk to your IT department. We cannot assist you in bypassing a password on a work machine that isn't your own.

Late to know but fair enough, I can see why.
    Thank you.

The only way you can override that password is if you have the original Windows Administrator password.
