how to change the computer's name?

    does anyone know how to change the computers name? i have a duplicate computer name on my system. i keep getting the " There is a duplicate name on your system" balloon popping p everytime i start my computer. so do anyone know how to change the computers name?

    What OS are you using? Generally, you go to System properties and click on the Computer Name tab.

    im running windows XP home. so i would assume its under that tab. thanks for the responce
