How to check LAN or 'Net co-users?

Is there an easy way to check and see if anyone is connected to (logged on, using, whatever) my computer, either on the LAN or the 'Net?
I don't want to go way out there looking, just wondering if WIN98SE or Netscape or IE have anything built in to allow a quick check.
I'm not paranoid...who told you I was?

XP does, through Computer Management.

true but with netstat it will also show the servers you're connected to through browsers, MSN Messenger and the like, could be hard to seperate which ones you want to be connected to and which ones you dont!

(to run netstat, by the way, Start -> Run -> type "command" then type netstat .. )

netstat showed -

If you have time, could you briefly explain what this is telling me?
I think the cc123456-c is the computer name, but I don't know what the 1441 & 1442 signify.
My interpretation of this info is that my computer is looking at itself.
At the time, I was on the 'Net (MG minimized) and no other computer on the LAN was running.

 

yeah, pretty much. some programs use loopback for some things, including windows itself, so nothing to worry about i wouldnt imagine
