How To Convert Wav To Mp3???

Hi. I have some WAV audio downloads saved on my D:drive DVD-RW disk but they won't play on my stereo DVD player. Is there a way to convert them to MP3 or a compatible version of my home DVD player? I converted them from MIDI files to WAV using Wingroove and was hoping that I'd be able to listen to them on my home DVD player but I've had no sucess. Any help or suggestions???? Thank you very much.

 

are you burning with the cds with a program like Nero or Roxio, etc?

If so you should be able to use the option to create an "audio" cd and that should convert tot the necessary file format!! For that option to work...you might have to burn onto a cd and not a dvd...but your dvd player should play just about any format of disc!! that is if it is not from the dinasour days!! I know my dvd burner will play music cd's and it is a wal-mart cheapy that's about 3 yrs old!!

Otherwise it might be the fact that it is a crappy dvd that you burned onto!! Will it play on anything else??

iTunes will convert WAV files to mp3 if you select all files to be mp3

It does everything you're asking it to do, and it's free.
I also use the Roxio version6 software to other sound editing chores, but wavepad is free.

 

Do a google search for dbPowerAmp Music converter.
Its free, and does a great job of converting sound files quickly and easily.
