I know how to do this. I've been doing this for years. But for the life of me I can't understand where the Restore Points go to in my time of need.

I ran into an annoying boot loop, and thought System Restore would be a good place to start, and it would have been if there were any RPs saved, which there were not. I had the drive properly configured, but Windows apparently never say fit to create any RPs. Luckily I was able to find a four-month-old System Image, so I restored that and went back to rebuilding my software library, which dropped from around 230 games to 80.

Each day as I redownloaded what I had to and reconfigured what was left, I created RPs with the date as a name, i.e. 060220a. Is there any way to check on the existence and integrity of these RPs?

You must first turn on System Restore in the System Protection tab of System Properties.

Thanks, but Restore has always been and will always be on for my boot drive. I just want a way to verify them so that I can rely on them. I'm going nuclear anyway; tomorrow I should receive an 8 TB external HDD, and I'm gonna image the fork out of my 0.256, 2, 2,and 5 TB drives.
